In backgammon an attacking game might also be called a blitz or a wipeout. As the name suggests, one of the players seriously attacks his opponent.
One of the players is in position to where he hits and tries to close out the opponent player, most commonly by hitting in his own inner board. Attacking game has another sense, used in case of tournaments. In this case it describes a quick elimination tournament, where the matches are usually very short, since their only goal is to eliminate one of the players. |
